Star Wars and LEGOLAND Part Ways

LEGOLAND, WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Over 1 million bricks will be looking for a new home at LEGOLAND Florida, and across all LEGO parks. The Star Wars Miniland display at Legoland Florida will soon be removed, the theme park has confirmed.

Made up of more than 1.5 million Lego bricks, the display features several scenes recreated from the live-action Star Wars movies, including The Force Awakens.

The display also includes sound and lighting effects.

Legoland Florida hasn’t said what will replace the Star Wars display, which was added to the park’s Miniland USA area in 2012. There has also been no comment on the future of “Star Wars Days”  that the parks have held throughout the month of May.

Guest should note that Miniland USA which also includes recreations of Daytona International Speedway, Kennedy Space Center, California landmarks, Washington D.C., and New York City are NOT being removed.

The last day to visit the “Star Wars” display will be January 6, a spokesperson said.
