Universal Orlando Resort, Fla. –  Universal Orlando has just announced the details for this years Mardi Gras celebration. Including the 2020 concert lineup. With this years overall theme being “Treasures of the Deep” featuring floats inspired by a Treasure Map, the Sunken City of Atlantis, Creatures of the Deep and a treasure-filled Shipwreck Island. Every Night From Feb. 1–Apr. 2  Universal Studios Florida is celebrating, with this being its 25 years of Party at Mardi Gras.

A parade every night

Every night during Universal’s Party at Mardi Gras guest can enjoy specially themed floats full of bead tossing krewe. The times are a little different for certain nights.  

Parade starts at 6:00 pm on the following dates:
Feb 2 – Feb 7

Parade starts at 6:15 pm on the following dates:
Feb 9 – Feb 14
Feb 17 – Feb 21
Feb 23 – Feb 28
Mar 1 – Mar 6

Parade starts at 7:30 pm on the following dates:
Mar 9 – Mar 12
Mar 16 – Mar 19
Mar 23 – Mar 27
Mar 30 – Apr 2

Parade starts at 7:45 pm on the following dates:
Feb 1, 8, 15, 16, 22, 29
Mar 7, 8, 13-15, 20-22, 28-29

On top of weekend headliners, throughout the day during Mardi Gras performers will bring guest one step closer to the streets of the big easy with performances by real Louisiana jazz, blues and zydeco bands.

Something NEW For 2020

Mardi Gras Tasting Lanyard

Sample Cajun and Creole food along with special alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Your Mardi Gras Tasting Lanyard lets you enjoy jambalaya, beignets and more in sampling sizes. As of last year there were ZERO plant-based event themed options. We are hoping that changes this year! Check out Universal Orlando Vegans for updates on vegan foods throughout the parks and resorts. 

For Passholders an exclusive Lanyard  is also available.  All new for 2020 is the Carnival Around The Universe tent,  a new menu will be featured every two weeks highlighting the cuisines of global Carnival celebrations.

Family Friendly

Universal Orlando Resorts Mardi Gras party is 100% family friendly. And yes crowds can get pretty large during concert weekends, for parade viewing Universal has set up something a little special. 

The Little Jester’s Parade Viewing Area located in front of the Brown Derby Hat Shop offers an unobstructed view for petite party goers.  This is a great spot for them to interact with the outrageous street performers, enjoy all the colorful costumes and grab some of the countless beads flying through the air.  Access is available beginning one hour before the parade starts.
