Dunedin International Film Festival Is Back

Dunedin, Fla. –  It seems semi ironic that a town that has no movie theater would play host to an event that culminates around movies. But that is exactly what Dunedin, Florida is doing Jan. 8 – 14 when they celebrate cinema with the second annual Dunedin International Film Festival.  

Downtown Takeover

The Dunedin International Film Festival has partnered with five Downtown businesses to provide the best cinematic experiences possible for attendees. With submissions from 89 countries, this seven day film festival will see film fans from all over the globe embark on the Pinellas county Gulf coast town. 

This location will be activated on opening night for a special Drag Culture screening

This location will be activated for opening night on Wednesday, January 8th though Saturday the 10th

This location will be home to all film panels and workshops on Saturday and Sunday of the film festival.

This location will activate on Sunday for a special world premier and run through Monday the 13th.

Calling all nerds of Pinellas county! Come out on Monday, January 13th for a virtual reality world installation.

Eichar’s Woodworking on Lyndhurst will also serve as a  venue! Also, a  boutique venue on the Pinellas Bike Trail, the “Dunedin Art Cave”, has been added that will display a new art presentation from a local Dunedin favorite!?!

Community members are also encouraged to enjoy some great movies for FREE thanks to the Dunedin Film Festival Inc. public charity. The locations for those viewings are different than above. They include: Pioneer Park, The Dunedin Public Library, Andrews Memorial Chapel and the Dunedin VFW.

Celebrate the closing night of the Dunedin International Film Festival 2020 on Tuesday Jan. 14 with a Red Carpet and Awards Gala at The Fenway.  This is a separate ticketed event.  Tickets include a reception dinner provided by Pisces Sushi and Global Bistro, an open bar provided by the Fenway Hotel, Autograph Collection and a seat in the Caladesi Ballroom awards ceremony show.
