2019 International Flower & Garden Vegan Guide

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – It’s that time of year!!! When flowers and topiary’s cover the park.  I’m talking about the 26th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, and the 2019 Veg Guide. This years menu has some ALL NEW vegan flavors to enjoy, including a booth hosted by IMPOSSIBLE foods.

What you can expect

This year’s festival will be chock-full of lush new topiary whimsy. Some edible delights and gardens to play in. There is also an expanded lineup for this years Garden Rocks Concert Series.

The 90-day event continues through June 3, featuring dozens of Disney-crafted topiaries and beds of multi-colored blooms. It is amazing and so awesome to see the transformation of Epcot into a floral extravaganza. One great example of this metamorphosis, the nearly 70,000 festival blooms that surround the lakes in Future World, while on the water, hundreds of colorful mini-gardens will be set afloat.

Another great part of the festival, besides the amazing topiaries, the great musical acts is the food! SO I have put together a Veg Guide to  Epcot International Flower & Garden festival.

This plant-based bottomless pit guy is no different than you. An afternoon at the park is always an amazing time, I just have to plan it out a little better if I wanna eat.

What's Trending

Of course the spot lite of this whole selection has to be the news of an entire booth sponsored by Impossible Foods! As I listed above, the selection at the  Trowel & Trellis Hosted by IMPOSSIBLE™ Foods seems extremely promising.  With items like Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread, Farmhouse Meatball with Lentil Bread, Spinach, Marinated Vegetables, Creamy Herb Dressing, Chocolate Pudding Terrarium with Avocado Cream, Matcha Crumb, Pomegranate and Baby Herbs. Only time will tell if all these items are in fact served Vegan/Plant-based.

The Verdict

Unfortunately, the limits are still there. And yeah, it is a little disappointing to see simple substitutions like Non-dairy cheeses and vegan proteins only being offered one location at this years event. Hopefully each year we will see more and more options for Plant-Based/Vegans.
